Tipperary
Well done to Darragh McCarthy and Mikey Bevans on Tipperary’s win over Laois in the All-Ireland preliminary quarter-final last Saturday.
We all wish the lads the very best of luck in the quarter-final this Saturday against Galway.
Junior A
Congratulations to our Junior A hurlers who were crowned North League champions after an exciting, extra time final win over Nenagh Éire Óg on Friday last in Templederry.
The lads showed great character to equalise late in normal time before going on to get the win in extra time.
A brilliant win and a positive note to go into the championship with. The lads have a bye in the first round of the North Junior A Championship this coming weekend, with the first game coming on Friday, June 27th.
Junior B
Our Junior B hurlers will be hoping to emulate the Junior As this coming Sunday by qualifying for a league final, but they will have to navigate the challenge of Moneygall in the last four. The game is fixed for Moneygall on Sunday, June 22nd at 12 noon. Come out and support the lads if you can.
Underage
Our two U13 hurling teams continue their championship campaigns this Tuesday evening against Roscrea in Toomevara. The U13A game throws in at 8pm, while the U13D team gets going at 7pm.
Our U15 hurlers will take part in the National Feile na nGael this coming Saturday. They will face Newtownshandrum, Blackrock, and Kilmacow in their group games. Keep an eye on socials for full fixture details
Thank you also to Eamon and Orla Hartnett who sponsored a new set of jerseys for our U15s ahead of next weekend. The lads played Cashel King Cormacs in the new kit last weekend in a challenge game and recorded a great win.
Spin for Tara
A huge well to Toomevara Camogie Club and all involved in the organising of the ‘Spin for Tara’ fundraiser which took place last Friday and Saturday.
The event was a huge success, and all involved in Toomevara would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to its success, in any way, big or small.
We thank all the various clubs and organisations around North Tipperary who cycled throughout the 24 hours and backed what was a worthy cause.
