Our weekly draw takes place every Monday night. Tickets can be purchased online, in the shops, the Post Office, and pubs, or by contacting a committee member. The jackpot for this week stands at €2,200.
Tipperary
We wish Darragh McCarthy, Mikey Bevans, and the entire Tipperary team the very best of luck ahead of the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship semi-final in Croke Park against Kilkenny this Sunday. It has been a fantastic year for the lads, and we are all hoping that they find their best in this game and send the Premier to another final. All the best, lads.
Junior A
Our Junior A hurlers' first round Junior A Hurling Championship game against Borris-Ileigh - due to be played last Friday - was cancelled due to our opponents being unable to field. The game will be played at a later date.
The team will finally make their championship bow this Friday evening, when they host Kilruane MacDonaghs. The game throws in at 19:15. Everyone come out and show support to the players.
Junior B
Our Junior B hurlers will also be in round 1 action in the championship, where they will welcome defeated league finalists Lorrha. The game is currently down for Saturday at 7pm, but it will likely be changed to an earlier time. Keep an eye on socials for full details.
Underage
Our U15 hurlers will be looking to add to their comprehensive North U15 League Championship victory over Silvermines last week, when they travel to Roscrea to take on Roscrea in the next round.
Elsewhere, our U17 hurlers will begin their North championship campaign next Monday evening, July 7th in Lorrha where they will take on Lorrha Rovers.
Dillon Quirke Foundation Screening
The Dillon Quirke Foundation screening will take place in the clubhouse this coming Thursday, July 3rd between 9am and 5pm.
For anyone who has registered for the service, see below for some helpful tips to ensure a smooth screening experience for all. Please ensure that you are punctual (take note of your appointment time) to ensure the service runs smoothly.
- Each participant will have two appointments. One appointment is with a doctor and another appointment is with the nurse. The screening is not complete until both appointments have taken place.
- Please arrive no earlier than 5 minutes before your appointment. This avoids congestion in the clinic.
- Participants under the age of 17 must be accompanied to their appointment by a parent/guardian/caregiver.
- It is advised that participants refrain from exercise 30 minutes prior to their screening as this ensures accuracy of the screening.
- Please avoid oils, moisturisers, lotions, perfumes/colognes and fake tan on the day of your appointment as this can affect the ECG electrodes.
Nursery
Our nursery hurling gets underway again this Saturday, and will continue each Saturday during the summer for any parents interested in bringing their kids to play. The training gets underway at 10am.
