Club Lotto: Our weekly draw takes place every Monday night. Tickets can be purchased online, in the shops, the Post Office, and pubs, or by contacting a committee member. The jackpot for this week stands at €2,900.
Senior: Best of luck to our senior hurlers who will face Clonoulty Rossmore in round two of the FBD Insurance Senior Hurling Championship in The Ragg on Sunday afternoon. This is a must win game for the players so everyone get to the game to shout on the lads.
Junior A: Our Junior A hurlers lost out to Kiladangan on Friday evening in Shallee. Despite the loss, the team will qualify for the semi-finals should they beat Borris-Ileigh next Monday evening in the final game of the group.
Junior B: Our Junior B hurlers will face Kilruane MacDonaghs on Sunday morning with a place in the North quarter-final up for grabs for the winner. This is a precursor to the senior game on the same day, so make a day of it and get out to support the Bs before you head to The Ragg.
Underage: Our U19A hurlers exited the North championship in unsatisfactory fashion. After travelling to Nenagh to play Éire Óg, the referee never turned up for the contest. This was a disappointing way for the players to finish up for the year, and while the result turned out to be irrelevant after Borris-Ileigh’s win in the other game in the group, it was still a disappointment to the players not to contest a game on the evening. Thanks to the players and management for their efforts all year.
Elsewhere, our U13A hurlers lost out to a strong Newport team in last week’s North Hurling semi-final, played in Ballina. Hard luck boys, and thanks for your efforts all year.
Our U15A hurlers had an empathic win over Nenagh Éire Óg in their final group game in Toomevara last week. The lads will now play a quarter-final against Roscrea on Thursday.
Finally, our U17A hurlers await a fixture for the North semi-final next week. Keep an eye on social media for an update.
This week’s underage fixtures are as follows:
